Hannah Richards

Middle School Guide

Hannah graduated from Biola University with a B.A. in English as well as her secondary teaching credential in the same subject area. While Literature and Composition remain her first loves, she also enjoys studying and teaching a wide range of subjects, including Theology, Psychology, and Music. Hannah also holds an AMI 12–18 Diploma, further grounding her work in adolescent development and Montessori philosophy.

Having experienced education across public, private, secular, Christian, online, and homeschool settings, Hannah brings a uniquely broad and empathetic perspective to her work with students. She understands that no two educational journeys look the same, and she values meeting students where they are while honoring their individual paths and strengths.

Hannah believes the classroom should support a student’s holistic development—academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. She is passionate about creating an environment where students are known, challenged, and encouraged to grow into confident, capable young adults. She is thrilled to be part of the Coastal Sage community and to support students in becoming thoughtful, engaged learners.
