Diego Castañeda - Studio Arts Guide

Diego Castañeda

Studio Arts Guide

Diego graduated from Westmont College with a B.F.A. in Studio Art, concentrating in printmaking and developing a multidisciplinary practice that includes textiles, ceramics, graphite, and other creative mediums.

Having grown up in small, intentional learning environments himself, Diego deeply values the meaningful role educators play in inspiring curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. He is excited to bring that perspective to Coastal Sage Montessori and to help students discover the confidence and joy that come through artistic expression.

In his classroom, students will explore foundational areas of art, including drawing, painting, color theory, and three-dimensional design, while also working with textiles, clay, and a variety of hands-on materials.

Diego is passionate about creating a space where students feel known, challenged, and encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, and grow into confident, capable young artists.
