Mrs. Altamirano (Ms. Care) brings nearly three decades of Montessori experience, serving children from infancy through kindergarten with deep care, dedication, and a wholehearted commitment to supporting both children and families. Her extensive background includes several Montessori diplomas, a degree in Special Education with an emphasis in speech and hearing, and years of leadership in bilingual Montessori environments throughout San Diego and beyond.

We are especially excited to announce that the Coastal Sage Montessori Primary Program will be bilingual beginning fall of 2026, with children naturally experiencing both English and Spanish throughout their day. Ms. Care's experience and passion for bilingual education make her uniquely suited to lead this exciting next chapter for our Primary community.

She is deeply committed to nurturing the whole child through hands-on learning, independence, mindfulness, practical life experiences, language development, and meaningful community connections. Her warmth, patience, and joyful spirit have touched countless children and families throughout her career, and we are thrilled for our Primary students to learn, grow, and flourish under her guidance.23.
